Our Founder

Mavis. X. Mhlanga- Mochibadibane 

Mavis.X. Mhaslanga graduated with a Baccalaucreus Honours in public administration. She was previously the Deputy Director in the Gauteng department of roads and transport for administration of the provincial regulatory entity. She was the public transport project manager in support of special events that include, the World Summit on Sustainable Development, Confederations Cup and the Fifa World Cup. She was involved in research and development relating to bus rapid transport in South Africa.

She is currently the Chairperson of the Thswane Women In Transport (TWIT), which is an affiliate member of the South African women in transport (SANWIT). She is passionate about issues of transformation, empowerment of women and the youth. She is also the Basadi Pele Consortium Chairperson.

Her Publications

2018 – July she presented a paper on empowerment of women in the transport sector: Lessons for policy and practice at the 37th annual South African transport commission held at CSIR. 

2018 – May, she wrote a submission to the competition commission regarding a market inquiry into land use based public transport passenger transport sector and delivered the presentation on the 7th June 2018.
